I've just found this thread. Thanks, Bill, it's great to know that some people who have not bought Susan's music will still hear her voice and, I hope, become fans.

What exactly constitutes a compilation album? Does it have to have only one track each from a number of singers, or could it be a couple of singers each singing two or three songs? Will the Domingo album be a compilation?

imo, a compilation album is an album of music by many different artists. Placido's upcoming wouldn't be considered a compilation, at least in the same way, as he sings in every song - it is his album, with guest singers.

However, perhaps it is time for a new category: Susan Boyle Duets - because I'm sure this won't be the last.

Very good suggestion, CB. I can think of five already - although the one with Elaine Paige is not on an album.

I noticed this morning that Tony Bennet has a new album coming out on October 13, I think it is another duets album (not sure) but if so maybe Susan will be on it, hope so. There are no details about it yet on Amazon.

That would be very unusual. Didn't he bring out a duets album last year?

Yes he did Moll, I have that album, its very good. I'll check Amazon again and have a look at the ad for his new album to see if in fact it is duets or not.

He has already done two duets albums (Tony Bennett), quite successfully - in fact the second gave him his very first #1 album at the age of 85. His upcoming third which Diane refers to is with Latin singers, so no Susan.

Thanks Bill. So he is making a habit of bringing out albums of duets? Hope he asks Susan to do one with him for his next album.

Bill, I had no idea about these albums. I think it is wonderful for Susan. Hope to buy some when I get settled in my new digs.
