OK, as you seem to be interested in what the French think (??!!) I thought I'd open a new thread gathering French reviews and comments about Susan's new CD. France doesn't count much where figures are concerned but I would think that if she "makes it here, she will make it anywhere"!!!

Je ne comprends pas qu'avec une voix si extraordinaire des compositeurs de talent ne s'empressent pas de lui écrire de belles mélodies. Elle a tout pour réussir cette femme là. Bravo pour sa voix mais aussi bravo pour les beaux changements qu'elle a apporté à son apparence. Elle rayonne.
I can’t understand how it is that talented artists don’t rush to write beautiful melodies for such an extraordinary voice. That lady has it all, she's bound to succeed. Bravo for the voice and also for the makeover. She’s beaming.

Je trouve cette personne et cette voix absolument extraordinaires. Je l'avais vue et entendue à Britain's Got Talent et j'avais été époustoufflée, maintenant sa voix est encore plus juste, bien placée et que dire de ses changements physiques, oui vraiment une GRANDE DAME de la chanson en devenir si quelqu'un lui en laisse la chance.
I think the woman and the voice are absolutely extraordinary. I had seen and heard her on BGT and had been gobsmacked but now her voice is even more perfectly pitched and poised, not to speak of her changed physical appearance. Yes she can truly become a really great singer if only she’s given the chance.

C'est dommage qu'on ne l'aie pas découverte plus tôt, elle a une voix magnifique et puissante et oui j'achèterai son dvd avec grand plaisir!
What a pity she was not discovered earlier, she has a wonderful and powerful voice. I will be delighted to buy her CD.

Quelle voix. C'est vraiment une grande chanteuse. Elle surprend avec ses interprétations. Dommage qu'elle soit venue à la chanson plus tard mais je crois qu'elle a sa place et qu'on devrait lui offrir ses propres compositions. Elle a vraiment un grand talent.
What a voice. She’s truly a great singer. Her interpretations are surprising. It’s a pity she started singing so late in life but I believe she has every right to be on the music scene and she should be offered her own songs. She is truly talented.
***Note that the percentage of male fans seems pretty close to what we have here. But, as we've already seen, when they do love Susan, they can become quite eloquent!!
