Thank you Bill. Now you've reminded me of even more of my special favourites.

You who think yourself young, just have a look at this woman, she has kept a heart of gold and a pure soul … (French commentator)

Indeed! There are so many beautiful and meaningful ones!
That one with the kid, holding the Olympic torch is a VERY meaningful one!

P.S. Or was it for the Commonwealth Games?

It was the Queen's Baton for the Commonwealth Games - the run with the Baton held ahead of the Games. Susan took it through a Children's Hospital, as well as running outside with it.

            Thank you, Bill!
With so many things that happened last year, it's easy to get confused.

Thanks Canadian Bill! Your poster is going to let me do two things. First, I can now make choices for my favourite pictures of the year. #1: Susan, alone, holding the torch and staring pensively, gently at????

#2; I'm going to clear something up that was said about an opinion I have expressed elsewhere many, many times. In several, mostly candid, shots, we see Susan the woman. You know, the " cleavage", the " leg", those beautiful, depthless eyes, and when I see Susan as "that woman" and hear her singing, oh, maybe "Lilac Wine" or my much hoped for "Summertime", I see a Susan of another era. In a red dress, slit right to there and "PERCHED ON A GRAND PIANO" not "lying on a piano" as another revered member "quoted" in h... slightly critical post. Yes, I am being sarcastic. I often am very sarcastic. Brutally so. It's a defence mechanism, or so my therapist has told me repeatedly while rolling her eyes and looking at the ceiling. Terijay, you wanted to know back then who said "that" and where was "it". I can remember seeing my post misquoted to make it seem like something from some sleazy, backstreet, groper. I read it and I felt pure and absolute blind, red fury. So, in answer to your question that night, Terijay, it was me, but it was not what I said. I will stand behind my vision of "that Susan" and "that song" because Susan has that in her, and if "that Susan" ever wears a red dress slit up to there and sits on a grand piano singing with "that voice", somebody better have a fire extinguisher handy. Peace, Terjay.

@mamabear-- I do not know what you are talking about, but for the record, I totally agree that Susan has this in her and have alluded to it here as many can vouch for, over the years. I totally love CMAR and see her singing torch songs.
I agree with you. " I will stand behind my vision of "that Susan" and "that song" because Susan has that in her, and if "that Susan" ever wears a red dress slit up to there and sits on a grand piano singing with "that voice", somebody better have a fire extinguisher handy."

It was awhile ago, and it's over now, but it really did bite at the time. That is when I should have spoken, but it was impossible at the time.

thanks for clearing it up! I knew it was not me who thought you were a perv saying that - hahahaha-- mainly because i also feel the same way about the "passionate" side of Miss B as an artist, that could be coming out more some day!

mamabear, in the pic of Susan holding the baton (not a torch :>) she was surrounded by and looking at children... in particular their hands on the baton - I found it a tender expression, in most pics from that morning she had a big smile.

As for the rest of your post, when Susan said 'that's just one side of me' she wasn't kidding, she's a very complex person.

I just saw that fabulous collage and read the posts here, including the exchange between Teri and Mamabear. Have to say it .... I love every one of the Susan's in that collage and, when the time comes, I'll bring the fire extinguisher! I too think that one day we'll see that '"passionate" side of Miss B as an artist"! She has soooo much to give, artistically and personally!!! JMHO

CBill, this is a wonderful collage! It makes it really tough to choose, though! I've got it down to oh, about 4 or 5 faves (all wonderful facets of Susan's personality)

That is a great collage, Bill. I thought I would see if you made it in sections, so it could be printed off, and you did. SEVEN of them. LOL So, as soon as I find a space 7 ft. high that I can clear on my office wall, I will hang it, after joining each one together into one long strip--the pictures are all so good. Thanks.

It'll be a while before I can choose a favorite, I like so many of them.
