Don't know anymore than you do Stevieboy, re Wiki. Did look up photo rights and it says this:
"Guidelines for images and other media files
Images, photographs, video and sound files, like written works, are subject to copyright. Someone holds the copyright unless they have been explicitly placed in the public domain. Images, video and sound files on the internet need to be licensed directly from the copyright holder or someone able to license on their behalf. In some cases, fair use guidelines may allow them to be used irrespective of any copyright claims; see Wikipedia:Non-free content for more.
Image description pages must be tagged with a special tag to indicate the legal status of the images, as described at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags. Untagged or incorrectly-tagged images will be deleted.
Questions about media copyright may be directed to Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, which is generally staffed by volunteers familiar with Wikipedia's media copyright guidelines and policies."

To use a Charlie Gray photo would definitely require permission, but Moll mentioned trying to get it - never hurts to ask!"Support our Forum using the Subo store for your online shopping.

Someone needs to update this immediately and thoroughly. Why does she need all this emphasis on her "disability" and "fragility". Those people do not need articles from the 2009 tabloid press when they can just look her up on Wiki and see how "pitiable" she is!
Is there someone who can take responsibility for keeping that page updated and focussed on her fabulous accomplishments?

I actually removed that paragraph once over a year ago and someone restored it saying it was unjustly removed. I tried, but it didn't seem to work. I don't get their rules.
edit to add: I'll try again. I noticed the original source for that paragraph is no longer a valid link. It was removed and I would guess for good reason. I will remove the wiki entree again and leave my reason's. Hopefully it will stick this time.Last edited by MollBobbers; 07-20-2013, 10:16 AM.

Thank you Shewa.
And if it's possible, could you also replace the photo with something more up-to-date?

There can be no copyright issues with the photo. This is the Wiki Commons page for Susan Boyle images, there are only two and the second is a painting.

wasforgas took some beauties of Susan on stage at the concert, (they're in her Videos and Photos of Edinburgh Concert thread) but I don't know what would be involved in getting them allowed for 'Wiki Commons'."Support our Forum using the Subo store for your online shopping.
