    4. Nzherald.co.nz/entertainment posted “The return of Susan Boyle” by Fiona Connor, with a date of November 24. Some highlights:
“Seven years and as many albums later the 55-year-old performer has fulfilled her dream of becoming a fulltime singer but confessed she still is yet to feel as an equal to Paige. ‘I'm still trying ... and working very hard,’ Boyle told the Herald.
“Six months after gaining second place on the talent show Boyle was overjoyed when she was invited to sing on stage with the award-winning musical theatre star who she had admired so dearly. [Susan was quoted]: "I couldn't believe it was actually happening. Elaine Paige has been one of my favourite musical people and it was very surreal to find that she was there and I could actually speak to her and I could actually sing with her. I still can't believe I've done it, it's been really surreal."
“Now on her seventh album, Boyle is still determined to keep on track and pour everything into her music career. She says this album is about making an impression and decided to do it with a bit of Christmas spirit. [Susan was quoted]: “This year when we were planning the album, we wanted to make it a Christmas album, but we didn't want to make it a conventional Christmas album so we picked songs which reflected moods of romance. I'm making a comeback with this album, and I hope the public can receive it very well because I had a lot of fun making it."
Susan 2009 BGT audition and her 2009 duet with Elaine Paige are embedded in the report along with 2 pictures of Susan performing.

    3. Australian reviews of AWW:
    • From JBhifi.com.au:
“Susan Boyle, the singing sensation who catapulted to international stardom in 2009, returns with her seventh album in seven years, 'A Wonderful World,' set for release through Sony Music Entertainment Australia.
“In a first for a British artist, Susan Boyle was granted rare permission by the Nat King Cole Estate to sing a virtual duet with the legendary performer and a stunning version of "When I Fall In Love" was mastered.
“Featuring spectacular renditions of well-known tracks including Madonna's, "Like A Prayer," Robbie William's "Angels," a duet with Michael Bolton "Somewhere Out There" and Paul McCartney's "Mull of Kintyre," 'A Wonderful World' is the ultimate Christmas gift that will transcend Christmas.”
    • From News.com.au by Cameron Adams:
“Susan Boyle is the reality TV star who makes the obligatory covers albums work. There's an actual, palpable sense of wonder when she sings What a Wonderful World. Her backstory (cats, single) makes When I Fall In Love poignant, with Nat King Cole duetting direct from heaven. “There's the usual ballads you'd expect (Abba's I Have a Dream, Elvis's Always On My Mind) but also more interesting choices. Boyle and some bagpipes get epic on Wings' Mull Of Kintyre and she takes Madonna's Like a Prayer to church and lets the choir sing - politely. And after seeing a bogan in a bandana ruin Angels in the misguided presence of Robbie Williams on The X Factor, SuBo turns the song into an actual hymn.
“SOUNDS LIKE: the best diction in the pop charts IN A WORD: classy.”

    2. An interesting short report by Anita Lesko, “Why I Identify With Susan Boyle as a Late-in-Life-Diagnosed Autistic Adult” posted at Themighty.com. Just a bit:
“When Susan Boyle first took to the stage on “Britain’s Got Talent,” I realized she was on the autism spectrum. Her “quirky” ways had everyone laughing at her until the jaw-dropping moment she began singing “I Dreamed a Dream.” She stunned the world with her spectacular voice. Suddenly everyone forgot her little wiggle and cheeky comments to Simon Cowell. Susan became an instant sensation. But there was one thing about herself that she didn’t officially even yet know — the very thing that would help explain parts of the life she had lived up to that magical night.”

    December 3, Saturday

    2. Stuff.co.nz/entertainment posted “Susan Boyle on a Wonderful World, her 'comeback album” by Hannah McKee.
“Within eight months of her television debut, she would release her first album, hold the record of the fastest-selling album by a female in the UK, and become the oldest artist to reach No.1 with a debut album in the US and UK. But speculation ran rife in 2015, when Boyle broke her yearly tradition of releasing an album just in time for Christmas. Boyle said the reason for not releasing a 2015 album was out of her control.
Susan was quoted: “But I've had time to reflect, time to grow up, and my confidence has grown, I'm ready. This album - A Wonderful World – is kind of a comeback album, to say that Susan Boyle is back, bigger, and stronger than ever, and raring to go." http://www.stuff.co.nz/entertainment...comeback-album

        Thank you as always, LucyB.

It looks like the scribe who wrote the Stuff.co.nz piece had access to Bill's Achievements poster.
