  • Ae Fond Kiss - Susan singing

Ae Fond Kiss sung by Susan in 2013. This is not the full song as written by Robert Burns in 1791 to his sweetheart. Susan sings an abridged version.

The lyrics, of Susan singing "Ae Fond Kiss, and Then We Sever" have been included in the video. You might need a hanky for this beautiful love song.

Thank you, Circ. I was really hoping that someone would bring back Susan's lovely performance of this song. Pretty hard to stay dry eyed listening to it.

Wonderful! I had not yet made the effort to put the lyrics to the song and was unable to distinguish much of it. Sound (or my hearing) going on my computer. Such a great way to present this.

They come, they come, to build a wall between us...we know they won't win." Don't dream it's over.

@ Trennie, Clemmie and PL...........Thank you! Such a lovely ballad and Susan singing it, makes it more heart wrenching, especially when she whispers the word sever.

Clemmie, I can only Buff through video now, sure do miss that fun we had.

I am off to the land of nod. Have a wonderful day everyone and enjoy the sweetness of those golden vocal chords.

Boy, there is something about this song that gets to me. It has almost become my favorite Susan song. There is something about the simplicity of the music and the beautiful lyrics that is so touching. I would love to have Susan record it on some future CD. You did a great job, Circ, with the pictures. It was a nice reminder of some of my favorite actors and actresses.
